Because some words are timeless, and some mums are unforgettable. Mother’s

Day isn’t just about flowers and breakfast in bed — sometimes it’s about memories, love that lives on, and small notes that say everything.

So this Mother's Day I wanted to share three personal letters — from me, my cousin, and my best friend — to our mums, whether they’re here with us or watching from above.

🌸 To Mum, From Me

In Loving Memory

Mum, I still catch myself reaching for the phone to tell you little things — what I cooked, what song I heard, or just that I miss you. You were the calm in every storm and the laugh that lit up even the dullest day. I miss your hugs, your voice, your quiet strength. Today, I light a candle for you and smile through the tears. I’ll carry you with me always. -  Love always 💗

🌸 To Mum, From My Cousin Hannah

Mum, thank you for showing me that kindness is a superpower. You’re the reason I know how to hold my head high, even when things feel impossible. I’m grateful for the cups of tea after a bad day, the cheeky smiles when we both knew we were right, and the million little ways you’ve shaped me. You’re more than my mum — you’re my favourite person. Love you loads, Hannah x

🌸 To Mum, From My Best Friend Jess

Mum, you are the safest place in the world for me. From the school runs to our silly shopping trips, you’ve always been the one cheering me on. I hope I can be even half the mum you are someday. Thank you for being my best friend before I even knew what that meant. Love you forever, Jess 💕

Whether your mum is by your side, miles away, or held in memory, Mother’s Day is a moment to pause — to acknowledge the quiet strength, unconditional love, and endless warmth that mums bring into our lives. They are our first home, our fiercest protectors, and our soft place to land.

So today, let’s honour them not just with cards or flowers, but with time, with words, with memories. Let’s thank them for all the unseen things — the sacrifices, the laughter, the late-night talks, and the unwavering belief in who we could become. And if your heart feels heavy today, know you’re not alone. Grief is love that has nowhere to go, and it only proves how deep that bond runs.

Here’s to every kind of mum — biological, chosen, present, or remembered. You are loved beyond measure. 🌷

xoxo
